BioMy planet was colonized by humans but I took a faceful of irradiated kahlua as a teen, which interacted with my unstable genetic code and gave me "Vegas-style" powers of super-hoodoo. Luckily the Legion didn't have anyone like that at the time so they let me join. The rest is the stuff of fanfic that fails to be all that transgressive, although it does offer a "snazzy yet unpretentious" vibe.
